Be grateful I don't have pictures...

This morning marked a milestone which every mother dreads. One that you know will happen eventually, but pray it's a mild case, rather than what you've heard from other mothers. Well, unfortunately Kellan doesn't do anything half way, and this morning was no exception.

Kellan pooped in the bathtub. Let me rephrase that, he had a blowout.

We have a pretty solid routine that after breakfast, we take a bath. He plays for like 20 min and then we clean up, easy peasy.

Today, things went a little differently. I will be honest, when it first happened, I hesitated and thought to myself what every young mother who has instagram thought, "I should take a picture for later" then the second round happened and all documentation thoughts went out the window.

Long story short, after a few scares of Kellan grabbing for poop, screaming because he's being contained, getting the tub drained while trying to filter/collect everything and keep Kellan from running wild in our apartment, I was able to get everything sanitized and clean. Including Kellan.

Longest morning of my life. Thank goodness for morning naps and hot chocolate.

Welcome to New Jersey!

Above you see a very tired boy hitting the isles of Walmart with his very tired parents. Thankfully, we are 99% moved it! Wahoo! We are just sorting through a few final things and adding a few final touches to our apartment. Hopefully it will be a home soon. :)

While we've been unpacking and getting our life in order, we've still been able to take some breaks and have some fun! We went to Times Square (a whopping 25 min away, woo!) and had a great time just in awe of it all.

Kellan made friends everywhere we went, he was especially popular on the subway. He made friends with everyone we saw, and was playing and smiling with anyone and flirting with every cute girl who would look.

We had a quick dinner at the Shake Shack and loved every bite. Kellan especially loved the fries haha

Kellan had fun pretending to be an outlaw, and then was shocked to see the naked cowboy roaming the streets.

We stopped and got some delicious cheesecake from Junior's to take home with us and ended the night with a slice and some games.

Before we left, Kellan and I made grandpa a video of memories and Kellan seriously watches it every morning-he misses his best friend! Because of that, he loves FaceTiming Grandpa as often as he can and gets excited every time he sees Grandpa's face on the screen! I took a screen shot of his excitement and anticipation for their conversation.

Kellan took a break from packing to climb up on a box and start going through my wallet...awesome.

I've been brushing up on my piano skills lately, and Kellan is loving it as well! I'm excited that he is already interested and loves exploring the keyboard.

Kellan and his monkey. Thanks Grandpa B!!

Our last hurrah!

For our last few days in Ohio, Kellan lived it up. Dad took off work, and Grandpa and Grandma were excited to play as well. Kellan decided that we would all go to Bob Evans for lunch, the park to swing, then go get ice cream to end the afternoon. Needless to say, Kellan had the best day ever.

Just playing after a big lunch!

Best friends, and tractor rides

Kellan has waited all of his life for this moment, and boy was it worth it. Kellan has been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to ride on Grandpa's tractor and was thrilled when he finally said yes. They had a blast going in circles, and up and down the drive way. Since Kellan is still little, Grandpa made sure that everything was safe so everything was perfect.

Kellan was loving having the wind in his face, and couldn't stop smiling the whole time.

BEST FRIENDS. They were loving every moment of their ride and it couldn't have gone better.

Nothing could pull these two apart!
