Well, so much has happened in the past few weeks! I've decided that my February resolution is to blog at least once a week. Because I'm realizing that our everyday life is a little more interesting than I thought it was-haha.
One of our family goals this year is to become more healthy-it has been such a blessing for us so far this semester to really commit to something and keep ourselves accountable. I mean, let's be honest here-for some reason last semester we both put on a few pounds and with school, work, getting used to being married and everything kept us too busy to work out-but this semester we are determined to make time and live better. Already we feel happier and healthier (and has saved us money-always a plus) -so with that said, I'm hoping to become more accountable with blogging about different exercises and tips that we've learned so far. (more on that later)
Well, other than our current health kick, this weekend has been one of the most exhausting yet rewarding ones we've had in a LONG time! David and I were able to move into a beautiful new apartment!! We have been waiting for a while to get a good deal on a two bedroom and we finally did! Our patience paid off-woohoo!! So we signed the lease Thursday and started moving in on Friday night after work and then continued until the wee-hours of the morning and kept on cleaning/moving ALL saturday! (minus the break we took to watch a friend's basketball game) Sunday brought more cleaning and finally at 1 am last night we retired to bed completely moved into our new apartment. BEST. FEELING. EVER. There is nothing like feeling accomplished. Almost everything is put away as well-except our guest room's floor is covered with bins and boxes and misc. items that we need to find a place for. But, that will be taken care of this week so we're not worried about it.
Along with the move we got a new couch set!! David has been scouring craigslist and we got the greatest deal ever on a black microfiber couch and love seat. I'm pretty sure he gets his craigslist skills from his sister Audrey-she's the ultimate queen when it comes to good bargains. so jealous.
So now, as I've looked over this post, I'm realizing that I think we are as boring as I thought we were-haha no crazy adventures recently-but we'll see what happens. Along with working out-I'm pretty sure I'll be posting more of my new hobbies-cooking and crafts-since we suddenly have room to decorate, I feel that it's much more homey and inviting when you have tasteful homemade decor-granted, I'm no Martha Stewart, but we'll see what we can whip up in these next couple of weeks.
